The Pod on the Hill

Situated approx.2.5 miles outside the village of Port Ellen, the POD offers peace, quiet and relaxation after exploring the distilleries and the joys of the Island. Port Ellen and Laphroaig can be seen from the POD which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay. The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. Come, find out for yourselves, a very warm welcome awaits you.

An Sonachan

An Sonachan is a modernised bungalow situated on the edge of the Bowmore. This spacious, well appointed accommodation sleeps up to 7 people in 4 bedrooms. A large dining kitchen, well equipped with American style fridge freezer, range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine, has outstanding uninterrupted views of Loch Indaal. The dining/lounge area is perfect for watching the glorious sunsets and the various Islay bird life. A separate comfy lounge area is available with open fire.

Islay Hideaway, close to everything in Bowmore

A family operated well-equipped 3-bedroom home in the heart of Bowmore, Islay. Ideally located near shops, restaurants, the famous Bowmore Distillery, and the picturesque harbour, it offers convenience and comfort. Perfect for forgetting life's stresses and enjoying holiday getaways. Easy access to stunning beaches, whisky trails, and all the island has to offer. We have two garden spaces, a small side garden at the house and a large green 20 secs walk from the rear of the house (see images)

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Portbahn House, near Bruichladdich Distillery

Portbahn was our family home before moving to Jura, and we hope you'll find it as welcoming as we did. This modern waterfront house sits right on Islay's scenic coastal route with stunning loch views. Sleeps 8 across 3 ground-floor bedrooms—perfect for families. Large enclosed garden with trampoline and swings. Walk to Bruichladdich Distillery (10 mins), beaches, and coastal paths. Underfloor heating and wood-burner make it cosy year-round. Dogs welcome. Your island home awaits!

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Starchmill Holiday Pod (Bruichladdich)

The Bruichladdich Pod sleeps up to 2 people, consisting of one bedroom with double bed, a toilet/shower room and a living area with double sofa bed. It also has a kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and table with 4 chairs. The pod is accessed through large patio doors which are perfect for enjoying the panoramic view. There is a large decking area in front with a picnic bench to enjoy dining al fresco.
