This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

This is pod 2 and has an identical pod located beside it to the right which is pod 1. The Glamping Pods offer a bed, sofa bed, fully fitted kitchen and shower room. They can comfortably accommodate 3 adults. The pods are across the road from the Am Politician Public House and a 2 minute walk to local beach. The ferry terminal is a 5 minute drive however you can also get there by walking along the Bonnie Prince Charles Bay beach. The pods are warm and cosy, we hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Fabulous self-catering apartment for 2 people (+1 small/medium sized dog). This 18th Century cow byre has been lovingly restored by the owners, retaining the original stone walls. Each pod is open plan with a kitchenette, seating dining, sleeping area and shower room. 3/4 bed and sofa-bed provides accommodation for up to 4. It is ideal for 2,If there are 4 adults you may feel it rather small. Bedding and towels are provided. Heating, TV and WiFi all add to a warm comfortable stay.

Barra's Classic Campervan, 'Olive', offers a unique and unforgetable experience where you get to explore the idyllic Isle of Barra, all at your own pace! Olive is a 1979 VW T2 campervan and is in pristine condition, inside and out! Having recently undergone a slight cosmetic makeover, with new seating, flooring, fridge and table, Olive is just waiting to take you on an adventure! Do not worry, we've made sure to retain as much of her classic charm as possible.

Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a double bed, and a two small bunk type beds. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.
