"Almost Amaris" was newly renovated March 2026!! Some people ask us why we named the camp "Almost Amaris". Well the name Amaris means "promised by God" but please, don't be to quick to judge. We had the name picked out before we knew the meaning really..... So If you were at our camp gazing off the back porch you would have sites of beautiful luxurious private homes that belong to a high end gated community called "Amaris" .. it's the neighborhood that we almost belong too!

If you and your family want to relax and enjoy nature at it's best, staying at "How Great it is" is the place to be! You will be located on Bayou Lafourche with an awesome sunrise and will be less than 30 miles from Grand Isle and less than 20 miles from Port Fourchon. Great Camp in a great location, across from the beach with a gulf view from the upper deck. Three bedrooms and three bath camp. We have a Boiling Pot & charcoal BBQ Pit. Fully stocked kitchen with a stove and fridge. We have a separate laundry room, a pantry, and an extra fridge. It's right across from the beach public access with an upstairs deck facing the water. Pet-friendly property $200 cleaning charge for pets as I have life threatening asthma.

You can catch the sunrise on the front porch and the sunset from the back deck. This house is located on the bay, but the beach access is only a few yards away.
