Escape to the country and stay in a cosy converted barn with a log burning stove and a secluded sunny patio area with outdoor dining and barbeque. Positioned in the beautiful countryside near Ware town, Cold Christmas has an abundance of lovely walks and is conveniently situated close to Hanbury Manor and Fanhams Hall, both of which offer a variety of amenities including a golf course, health spa and fine dining. Maltons, one of the area's finest restaurants is just at the end of the lane.

Black Squirrel Barn is a converted 3 bed 2 bath barn. It is completely self contained so you have your privacy but I am close by to help if necessary. The barn is luxurious yet homely with cosy underfloor heating downstairs. Close by are two lovely pubs with fab food. You can also find a little post office within 5 mins walk. The Flat at Shuttleworth House is a unique self-catering apartment within our Grade II* listed mansion. Once a family home, now a bustling weddings & events venue, Shuttleworth House is as unique as they come when planning a getaway. The House itself is not open to the public and you will not have access during your stay, however, you are able to make the most of the incredible views of the parkland take a walk and enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of our site.

Sleeping up to 6 people, the cottage has 2 bedrooms plus a dressing room/work space. The open plan ground-floor living area features a sofa bed and dining area. Renovated to a high standard, the modern kitchen makes this an ideal destination for self-catering breaks. With a chemist, a bakery, a butcher, a convenience store, pubs, a doctor, dentist and even a museum, Ashwell is the perfect village for short or long breaks.

Little Knoll Barn is a rustic, cosy, self catering accommodation, offering a king size bed, towels, guest robes, slippers, also we can provide a travel cot & hi chair if requested. For pets, 2 maximum, we provide a water bowl, dog towel & disposal waste bags. We are located close to the M1, A1, M25 and Luton Airport. We are also conveniently near Harpenden Train station with fast links into Kings Cross St Pancras.

Riverside Retreat

Nearly a century old, children call it “The Witches House” and we haven't changed it's magic. A mezzanine provides the main bedroom, a little window overlooks the lawns. Downstairs is a log burning stove, a sofa/double bed, and all facilities needed. French doors open to a patio over the river and woodland views. 40 minutes from London and you're in another world.
