Propane grill. See the night sky, relax in the shade of the aged oak at the cove (1/4 mile across the field). Wildlife/flowers, birding, stars-all yours.

Our Rustler's Crossing Cabin is nestled in the woods amongst large oak trees. If your looking for a very private secluded stay, this is for you! Parking is 130 feet from cabin. Plenty of room to park your trailers if you are mountain biking or boating. You can enjoy the porch all night if you like howling at the moon and stars. Enjoy the goats, Don Juan is the main man, Pedro is the chief rabbit. Cabin is equipped with full size refrigerator, large country sink and a two burner stove.

He was an LBJ mentor and involved in the push for funding for Mansfield Dam along with Lyndon Johnson and US Senator JJ Mansfield... It’s been said Johnson received the blessing of the Texas Democratic elites to run for a US Senate seat in Judge Starnes’ lakeside cabin in Volente.” -Will Taylor

Come stay for a relaxing peaceful time in the woods overlooking the San Gabriel River. It is a safe wonderful get-a-way for fresh air, shaded walks , picnic or floating at the river. River floating is dependant on rainfall. We have Volleyball, Cornhole, Horseshoes, Tetherball, Firepit, and a Pool for you and your family and friends to enjoy. Just let us know , and we will provide the equipment . Sorry but we will not be able to host parties.
