You can see the mountain as you walk downtown . There several beautiful historic homes in our area. There are several lakes to swim, kayak or fish.

Our 1840’s renovated grist mill is located in the beautiful Monadnock Region. The house and cottage are situated on twelve acres and includes gardens, an orchard, berry bushes, grape vines, beehives, a dog, and a tremendous waterfall. We are close to many of nature’s gems including Mount Monadnock, Pack Monadnock, the Heald Tract hiking trails, skiing, snowshoeing and swimming. Also the acclaimed MacDowell Arts Center, Andy’s Summer Playhouse, Andres Institute of Art and the Waldorf Schools.

Stay on the second floor of a 1780 Colonial House in a very unique toy museum. Winchendon is a quaint bedroom community known as "Toy Town". Located close to hiking trails, skiing, and lakes.
