Learn Kawaii wagashi making over matcha near Nara deer park
I invite you to enter my atelier normally not accessible. A local fluent translator will help me in explaining details about wagashi ingredients, motifs, and technique! First you will learn about basic ingredients, materials and tools for making wagashi using visual chart, and I will demonstrate the basic skills step by step for you to follow and do the same way by modelling, moulding, and shaping your own Japanese sweet. You can learn not only the basic skills of making, but also the beauty of Japanese traditional colours used and how I express seasons in the design of the "sweets". Don't worry, you can take your time at your own pace, and focus on getting inspiration and enjoying the making! When some difficult techniques needed, of course I will help you. :-) Also, you can ask me to take photos of your making as you have to keep your hands clean! Making will be about 40 minutes, and when finished, you will have a matcha tea time to taste your own wagashi. We can pack the remaining wagashi to go,of course! Ingredients are red beans(azuki), white kidney beans, sugar, yam potato, agar, and edible colors from vegetables and plants. Sometimes I may use egg yolk or rice powder, which I can avoid if you ask me in advance. (More than 15minutes late arrival may be treated as cancelled or subject to additional charges.)
Kintsugi, Classical Techniques and Spirituality
Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese technique for repairing broken or chipped vessels. Kintsugi, which creates new beauty from broken pieces, has been attracting attention not only in Japan but also around the world. While there are many kintsugi methods introduced in Japan, the kintsugi technique we introduce is the most classic and essential kintsugi using 100% natural materials and Japanese lacquer. You will experience the highlight of kintsugi restoration, the process of decorating with gold powder. During this course, you will also be able to learn more about the history of kintsugi, other processes, and how to collect lacquer using video and slides. The duration of the course is 90-120 minutes. Please note that our method is very traditional, so we use real lacquer. Lacquer work, including kintsugi, require a minimum of 4-5 days to cure. Therefore, your work will be shipped at a later date. We can even deliver to the hotel where you are staying in Japan. We can also ship overseas, but there is a shipping fee of 5,500 yen per location. *We can deliver only to countries/areas where Yamato Transport can deliver. Languages are available in Japanese and English.

Secret path in Fushimi inari shrine & discover Shinto spirit
Let's hike a beautiful unknown way to Fushimi Inari shrine, inside a big mountain chatting about Japanese philosophy Shintoism and a well-known religion Zen Buddhism. I'm happy to answer any quesions about Japan as a local who knows positive sides & negative sides since I was born here. There are so many paths including a dangerous way to higher sites. Nowadays the main roads are extremely crowded and have no peace, although it is a spiritual place. I will show you a secret path with bamboos at the backside of the shrine. In other places, bamboo streets are a famous Japanese symbol that are full of tourists. But here I can show you that it is not like that. Fushimi Inari shrine had been a silent and calm place for many years until it became as famous as it is today. But there is still some territory that has not yet been discovered by tourists because it is not easy to find it by them and once you got lost there, it would be hard to come back. We'll take such a silent path. If you have a request for your most convenient time or date, feel free to ask me to adjust my schedule. I'll flexibly fit to your schedule. Any requests on short notice are welcome too. Other things to note 1. I recommend you have a drink before starting and wear comfortable walking shoes. 2. There are steps on the way up & down. 3. Relieve yourself beforehand since there aren't bathrooms till come back

Cook healthy ramen & gyoza at home vegan/halal available
Ramen and gyoza are some of the most popular foods in Japan, not only for natives, but for tourists as well. But sometimes these foods can be too heavy or not vegan- and halal-friendly. I think everyone should have a chance to enjoy Japanese cuisine, so I developed a healthy recipe compatible with vegan and halal diets. After meeting at Cora Coffee I, we'll move to my private kitchen. We'll start out our class with a lecture about Japanese cuisine and lifestyle. Then we'll start cooking two different kinds of ramen broth, along with ramen and gyoza made from all-natural ingredients and seasonings, using my original recipe, which is healthy and easy to recreate at home. Home cooking is not only centered on the happiness and health of the family, but is also nourishing and easy to prepare. Come experience the power of this tradition. Experience is the best souvenir. Other things to note All you need to bring is your appetite. Feel free to take as many photos and videos as you wish during the class. Let me know of any dietary restrictions in advance.
