If desired, we are delighted to guide you through the house and share with you almost 200 years of our home's rich history. Roam freely through our 120 acres of gardens, farmland and woodlands, or enjoy a guided tour of our grounds and learn of present day efforts to transform our land into a nature reserve.

Situated along the Bogland trails, why not enjoy a day admiring the views before returning to take a dip in the tub. Get to meet our world renowned cutest and friendliest sheep in the world the Valais Blacknose, our KuneKune pigs, donkeys, horses, cats and dogs, while staying in your own self contained farm annexe. The Nurseries Grevisk

A five minute drive to Lough Key Forest and Activity Park, one of Ireland's most popular family Parks. The Nurseries is c200 years old and was once the home of the head gardener to the Rockingham Estate. It was later owned by the McGahern family and is referred to in some of John McGahern's writings. A historical home, with modern comforts and a welcome for all guests. Set in mature grounds and surrounded by trees brought from far away lands to adorn the Rockingham estate.

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
