The Devon Coast to Coast cycle route runs past, which makes it the perfect spot for those looking for a base for their cycling or hiking trip.

Stunning Views in Dartmoor, a Hikers Paradise

Our home is set on Dartmoor National Park surrounded by some of the UK’s most stunning scenery. The house is light and spacious with a well kept garden overlooking beautiful Dartmoor. Plenty of parking as well. There are many different walks straight from our doorstep, and many cycle routes. Ten minute drive away is Tavistock an ancient pannier market town. Five minutes walk to the local pub. So many Devon attractions within driving distance and about an hour to Devon and Cornish coasts.

A very special place to stay on the Bere Peninsula, Devon. This refurbished traditional slate-hung 'one-up-one-down' former silver miner's cottage was built in the 1800s. Set in the Tamar Valley National Landscape and Cornwall & West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site, with views of Cornwall and shared use of our 1/4 acre garden. Full self-catering or you can book breakfast and/or evening meals made by Martin, a professional chef. Self-contained annexe with own private entrance.

With riverside walks on the doorstep, and the historic town of Tavistock 6 minutes away, there's plenty to do and see, or just relax and enjoy the views. Please be aware until the end of July there is building work being carried out on the adjoining plot.

The Forge is a unique place full of character set at the edge of Dartmoor and only 2 miles from the market town of Tavistock. The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.

A fabulous cottage, beside the River Burn on the edge of Dartmoor. A haven of peace surrounded by trees and fields, two miles from Tavistock. A river to paddle in and lots of outdoor space with trampoline, football and table tennis. Set in 70 acres of farmland, linking up with local footpaths leading to fine pubs, and cycle routes. Dogs welcome. The historic cottage (grade 2 listed) was refurbished to a high standard. Renewable energy sources: solar and biomass.
