Very quiet, on a very peacefull village. Swimming area close by, water stream with fish, great for hiking, bird watching and canyoning. 20 mins to furnas lake by car. Im Ort in ca. 250 m Entfernung befindet sich ein kleiner Minimercado mit Café. Das Haus liegt direkt am Wanderweg zur Steilküste nach Mosteiros und zur Caldeira Sete Cidades. Die Lage bietet einen landschaftlich schönen und ruhigen Ausgangspunkt um den Rest der Insel zu erkunden.

Casa do Galo is a five-minute walk away from the “green lake”, and only three from the “blue lake”, giving you the opportunity to enjoy, comfortably, the peace and tranquility of the Sete Cidades volcano crater, immersed in the different shades of green. There are several recommended trails in the area which allow guests to explore the beauty of the nearby lakes and the local restaurants give you the chance of tasting the delicious Azorean cuisine.

Our Retreat is a rural nineteenth-century house, restored with the desire to conserve the time of construction characteristics. Not only did we keep the main structure of the house, but also the fire oven and the respective chimney, the mill of wine production and the basalt stone floor . And, to finalize we added a suspended living room - literally a glass cube.
