Welcome to our Scandinavian timber-cladded cabin situated in a quiet rural setting only 6km from Athenry town with its medieval castle, cosy pubs, good restaurants, and shops. Athenry has rail/bus connections with Dublin, Limerick and Galway City. An ideal spot from which to plan your excursions: head west to Galway City (23km); or southwest via Kinvara (24km) to the Burren (43km); and then to the Cliffs of Moher (70km). Or, go east to Loughrea (19km) where there's safe summer lake swimming.

Beautiful timber/stone barn c200 yrs old renovated in 2015 to a high standard, set on an organically/permaculture inspired smallholding in countryside close to historic town Athenry. Featuring a large double bedroom with 4 poster bed, a sleeping loft, suitable for children/young adults. Fully fitted Kitchen. Contemporary Shower room with Compost Toilet. In 2021 we've added a wood-fired sauna and hot/cold shower spa area available for guests on one* night of your stay, subject to arrangement.

A short drive from Dunguire Castle in the scenic town of Kinvara famous for traditional Irish pubs/resturants , the gateway to the Burren. Also numerous top golf courses in the area.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of a rural setting, 5 mins drive from Galway Bay Sailing Club and Renville Park and beaches. Close to the beautiful villages of Clarinbridge and Oranmore. The large decking area is surrounded by lovely gardens and there is a polytunnel where guests can avail of seasonal veg. Convenient to the main Galway and Clare road yet located in a tranquil setting.

Romantic Hideaway - 1850's Schoolhouse

The Old Schoolhouse was built in 1850, and has been beautifully restored. It's got a long and rich history, dating back to the Irish Famine. My dad went to school here, we lived in it as a family growing up and I wanted to share some of the history of the buildng with visitors. It's been updated with fast (150mb) fiber internet, and it's very cozy and warm. We just added a modern, private workspace outside for remote working - fast internet, private, monitors, great for Zoom calls!

Access to the Dublin and Limerick motorway are within 4 minutes drive which allows easy access to Galway city within 20 minutes by car. Leading onto Connemarra or down to Cliffs of Moher.

You are within a two-minute walk of three charming local pubs, a selection of restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, the post office and a pharmacy. Park your car and enjoy a pint, and have chat with the locals. Clarinbridge is conveniently located 15 minutes from Galway City by car or bus, and is the gateway to the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and much more!

Sycamore Cottage, 2 bedroom cottage beside the sea

Sycamore Cottage is a lovely detached cottage situated in the village of Killeenaran, fifteen miles from Galway. All ground floor the cottage can sleep four people in two double bedrooms one with an en-suite shower room as well as a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a kitchen and sitting room with dining area and oil-burning stove. Outside is ample off road parking and a lawned garden with patio and furniture. Ideally a car is necessary when staying at this cottage.
