Little Cottage Steps from the Beach

Quaint little cottage behind our shore house. All you need to enjoy the Jersey Shore. Our house is four houses from the beach and less than a mile’s walk or drive to the bars, restaurants, and rides. We’ve been renting on Airbnb since summer 2017, but we are no strangers to renters. We've been renting our cottage for the past 20 years & mostly rent June-August. We are looking to expand our rentals to May and into November. The off season is perfect if you are looking for quiet & relaxation!

Two blocks from Ocean Gate’s 2nd Pier Pavilion – spend the day swimming & sunbathing and spend the evenings crabbing & enjoying the most epic sunsets!

“River Retreat” is a spotless and updated cottage on the Toms River/ Barnegat Bay, one block from the beach and 2-mile boardwalk. Ocean Gate is a quaint town that has it all: beach, boardwalk, fishing/crabbing piers, spray park, and walkable bars/restaurants/market. Home is steps away from the Ocean Gate Yacht Club; 15 minutes from Seaside Heights and Island Beach State Park. One block from Anchor Inn and OG Creamery. Short car ride to Great Adventure, outlet shopping, and Barnegat Lighthouse.

Cast some lines right off the pier and enjoy reeling in some blue claws and flounder! For the little ones you can even enjoy our local splash park, all just a bike ride or walk away!

Barnegat Bay Getaway

Private apartment suite attached to our house. It has 1 BR. WE ARE NOT ON THE BEACH, but we are very close to Barnegat Bay & Ocean county new jersey coastline. We are 15 miles from seaside heights. 25 miles from long beach island. 4 miles from Cedar Creek & new Berkeley Island County Park. Smithville is 35 min drive. Atlantic city is 45 min drive. It is clean, private, functional, affordable and comfortable suite. HONEY BEES, DOGS, & CHICKENS ON PROPERTY. The animals do make noise.
