We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

La Cantera is a self-contained accommodation situated in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. This stone coach house conversion with underfloor heating is set in a beautiful garden, offering a cozy, home-from-home feel with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Located in Tongwynlais, it has excellent transport links to Cardiff city centre in under 20 minutes, and easy access to all of South East Wales. The magical Castell Coch is just up the road, and the Coach House is a 1-minute walk from the local pub. Enjoy fantastic mountain and woodland walks, all nearby for a perfect escape.

The property is in a great location which has a lot of amenities from lots of convenience stores takeaways not to far away which are in Nelson. It has great transport links such as the A470 and Treharris train station is close by only 1.8 miles away from the guest house. The guest house has free private parking for two cars.
