Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision

Moffat Escape-sleeps 4, 5 mins to bustling centre

Two bedroom self contained cottage with views of the Moffat Hills. Five minutes from the bustling town centre yet set in a peaceful residential area where you hear birdsong instead of cars. Parking for 4 cars, Wi-Fi and a secure 46m² dog run. Ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and Nespresso. Lounge diner with Smart TV. 1st floor offers a modern bathroom and spacious king room, 2nd floor a large twin, all with blackout curtains, linens and towels.

Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Stunning walks from the doorstep, in an area that's perfect for cycling, kayaking, paddleboarding . Open fire and aga help keep you cosy and there's a utility room for boots. NB The house is on a working sheep farm dogs need to be kept under strict control. WiFi can be sporadic - it’s a remote area. Here you can properly relax and unwind with the whole family.

Foulbog is a charming traditional shepherds cottage set on a working hill farm in rural Dumfriesshire. In a very remote location surrounded by rolling hills, with spectacular views down the valley. Although completely remote and secluded, this cottage has been recently refurbished with a cosy homely feel and has all the modern amenities needed including unlimited WiFi, luxury shower and log burners. The perfect place to relax and unwind with only the sheep & cattle for company.

Larriston Coach House, for a very rural stay

Larriston Coach House is a large four-bedroomed cottage, part of a very rural 19th century farm steading on 28 acres, with 2,500 acres of hillside starting at the doorstep. It's right on the Scottish Border, close to Kielder and Newcastleton (both five miles away), and ideal for visiting Kielder observatory, Kielder Forest, the Borders or north Northumberland. There’s plenty of space, inside and out. The skies are dark, the mobile reception is zero and the silence is deafening.
