Gorgeous, character-filled cottage with open fireplace. Stunning mountain views and gardens. Walk to Warburton Rail Trail, Yarra River, and Launching Place Hotel. We live in a separate dwelling on-site—here to assist if needed but won’t interrupt your relaxing stay. Menzies Cottage is an hour east of Melbourne & set high on a mountain-side in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Enjoy views out to the Wellington Road farmlands & Cardinia Reservoir. On a clear day you can see Arthur’s Seat, Port Phillip & Westernport Bays. Visit nearby Puffing Billy Steam Train, go bushwalking, feed the friendly farm animals or settle-in for a lazy afternoon before watching the sun set. The cottage is fully self contained & with your own private entrance, deck & enclosed garden.

Your hosts, Ann & Kevin live in the main house, about 100 metres from the lake-side cottage and are available if needed, or can be very discreet. You have free access to all of the property, with lovely walks and farm animals to interact with. The property is 5 min from Hanging Rock and 15 mins from Kyneton, and Woodend.

Duck'n Hill Cottage (& EV charge station)

Built by eccentric artists in the 80's this quaint little mudbrick sits in the heart of the Yarra Valley surrounded by wineries, stunning gardens and views. Recently renovated for comfort with concrete flooring, split system, hot water, renovated bathroom & numerous outdoor spaces. The kitchenette includes a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, egg steamer, bar fridge, airfryer & microwave. There is no oven/stove. If you would like a full kitchen please book our larger accommodation The Barn.

A forest hideaway in the Dandenong Ranges. Nestled between ferns and maples, Dingleigh of Sassafras is one of the original cottages on the property, lovingly restored and updated. Walking proximity to Sassafras, local shops, famous gardens & the national park. Dingleigh and its gardens offer an ideal location for wedding preparations and small wedding ceremonies.
