Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

Traditional shepherd's hut with views to Skiddaw

The hut is set in the middle of a family farm, forget about your busy lives and sit back and relax in this peaceful location ideal for a romantic retreat, with views up the Lorton valley ,cozy up into front of the wood burning stove and plan your adventure for the next day. The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your door in the morning

Homely and peaceful 17th century cottage in the heart of Burgh-by-Sands, on Hadrian's Wall Path. Carlisle - 5 miles. Comfortably sleeping four (plus infant), in two double bedrooms, one with ensuite cloakroom, the house has a kitchen/dining/living space, cosy living room and spacious garden, with very little light pollution, ideal for star gazing. Ample parking Perfect for exploring the wildlife of the Solway Coast, the City of Carlisle, Gretna and the Lake District.

Shepherds Hut in Cumbria

A shepherds hut situated on the edge of the Lake District overlooking the Solway Firth, offering guests all the experience of outdoorsy glamping while providing a warm and cosy home to retreat to if the good old British weather takes a turn for the worse! it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. If you are bringing your furry friends, please add when booking under number of guests and let us know. Theres a small fee per stay of £20 to cover the costs of a deep clean.

Blaithwaite cottage is such a little gem! Set on our 250 acre Blaithwaite Estate, with access to our 50 acres of woodland, and within 5 mins walk our play areas, pop up bar in the barn & estate grounds. All high quality equipment, beautiful kitchen over looking the stream, comfortable beds for a lovely, warm, and cosy stay. Relax in total seclusion in a proper English country garden & hot tub is a wonderful addition! Gated parking & doorstep to the Lake District.

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. The perfect base for walking or biking the area or visiting the local towns and amazing sights or to just stop and relax and refresh. This is a dog friendly accommodation however any other pet ie cat/donkey/giant python I'm afraid has to be left at home and I ask you keep dog on the leash when around the car park and walkways.

Wheatsheaf flat

This a large flat ideal for a get together with family and friends. We are situated in the village of Abbeytown. The flat has 2 bedrooms one with a very comfortable kingsize bed and the other with twin beds (can be made into double on request) Also the living room has a sofa bed which I make up for guest arrival leaving enough seating available on the corner sofa.
