Avoca

Originally a coach house "Avoca", is over one hundred years old. Nowadays, it offers a homely and comfortable base from which to enjoy a peaceful, "old worldly" break away in West Clare. Situated in Carraigaholt village on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way ,"Avoca" is a stones throw from pubs, restaurants, shops, and beach. Proximity to Loop Head makes for a cyclists haven, whilst a variety of walks - beach, countryside and cliffs abound. "Avoca" offers a unique experience of Irish rural life.

The Boat House with beach access

A slice of heaven in West Clare, with direct access to the beach. Dubbed "The Boat House", the building was previously used for housing boating equipment until being converted into a cosy seafront home in 2022. From The Boat House, you have a spectacular view of the Shannon Estuary from the sun room and a-joining patio as well as direct access to Carrigaholt Beach via a laneway to the shore. - 5 Minute walk to Carrigaholt Village - 10 Minute drive to Kilkee - 20 Minute drive to Kilrush

The mini kitchen has everything from a hob to Nespresso machine. Private heated patio with BBQ is perfect for chilling in the evening with the sound of the River.

Situated within a short walking distance of Carrigaholt village on the Loop Head Pennisula. Carrigaholt is a friendly fishing village; home to historic Carrigaholt Castle, the Long Dock restaurant and welcoming pubs. Carrigaholt Bay is a Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point. Relax on the beach or take in one of the many scenic walks along the coast. Kilkee seaside resort is less than 10 minutes drive away with water sports, cliff walks and the famous ‘Pollock Holes’ (swimming rock pools).

Upstairs bathroom, en-suite double bedroom, 2nd double bedroom and a single bedroom .t’s a very welcoming village on the Shannon estuary with some great pubs, an award winning restaurant, & wonderful scenic walks. It’s very well situated as a base from which to tour, 20 mins to loop head, 40 mins to Tarbert Ferry to Kerry, approx 60 mins to The Cliffs of Moher.

If you enjoy a country vibe, book a stay in our beautiful, newly renovated cottage with 46 acres of private land and a stony beach for you to enjoy, offering you complete seclusion, tranquillity and peace. The cottage is over 500 years old (formerly part of Kilelton House) and is steeped in history, just a 5 minute stroll from Carrigafoyle Castle. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, it is a wonderful base to return to after a day out exploring all that Kerry has to offer.
