Magical, grade II listed 18th century traditional Lakeland cottage set within 5 acres of woodlands, leading directly to 2 private beaches on Lake Windermere. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends, families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

This thoughtfully converted cottage aims to provide you with all the comforts of a loving home, but with an abundance of style that lets you know you’re being treated somewhere far away. The property is split up over three floors, with a bespoke kitchen diner on the ground floor, an open plan living room with window seats, a log burner and a modern tv for relaxing, then the top floor provides the bedroom with large en-suite style bathroom that’s quirkily decorated to offer a truly unique stay.

A romantic, stylish and cosy cottage for two in the beautiful Lake District National Park, half a mile from the shores of Lake Windermere and a 20 minute drive from Junction 36 of the M6. We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Listed Historic waterside - sleeps 14

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.

The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk via footpaths and country lanes, home to its 12th century Priory, Michelin starred restaurants and famous sticky toffee pudding. Grange-over-Sands is a 5-minute drive, with shops and a lovely promenade. The southern shores of Lake Windermere are just 12 minutes away. Close to Lake Windermere, the whole of The Lake District National Park is yours to discover. Children will adore the superb play park just across the lane and 'grown ups' may wish to celebrate a really special occasion together and try out the wood fired pizza oven and BBQ. Dogs are welcome and will be safe in the garden which is totally enclosed.

Upper Crumble with hot tub

Upper Crumble a romantic retreat for two set in an idyllic rural location with beautiful views. It has its own Hot Tub in a private courtyard. Perfectly located to access The Lakes and the medieval village of Cartmel. Cosy log stove, Wifi and private car park. Our large private gardens can be viewed 4-6pm summer time or by arrangement and a map is left in the cottage. Have a look at the photos in the Back Garden Section of these areas.

Crown Cottage is a luxury self catering cottage situated in the tranquil village of High Newton in the southern Lake District. The property is ideally situated close to local attractions including the foodie capital of Cartmel and the southern shores of Windermere. Further afield, activities such as fell walking, mountain biking in Grizedale Forest and trips to the towns of Bowness, Ambleside and Grasmere are all easily accessible.

Old Dan's is our welcoming cosy cottage which is warm in winter but light and airy in the summer. Old Dan’s enjoys a great location. Close to all the amenities of Cartmel and it’s popular racecourse and Grange-over-Sands, with a short drive to Windermere and Coniston. Get a real sense of the beautiful South Lakes area, with its rolling countryside, hilltop view points and lots of woodland and coastal walks on the doorstep.
