Coffee, Located a short distance from Bakewell/Matlock in the village of Birchover. checkin 3pm checkout 10am. We love dogs but do not allow to be left unattended or on our bedding. Located in the Leicestershire countryside, this peaceful location is the perfect spot for walkers (located on the Leicestershire Round), cyclists and those simply wanting to get away. The annex is separated from the main house by the utility area/entrance, handy for storing muddy boots and coats. There are basic cooking facilities (microwave but no cooker), however a light breakfast is included. The nearest pub serving food is only a mile away and there are many more to choose from!

The stunning Southwell Minster is a splendid cathedral with one of the finest Norman naves in Europe and only a stone’s throw from the narrow high street and beautiful pubs. this picturesque town steeped in history. its architectural jewel is the Minster church, boasting some of the best medieval stone carving in England. Just outside town is the Workhouse, restored by the National Trust.

17th century cottage in Matlock

A very old stone cottage but newly renovated inside. The cottage was my home, my children were all brought up there. I now live in a barn at the top of the driveway which we tried to build in as energy saving way as we could. During the cottage renovation we have tried to make the space as 'green' as possible.
