The Barn and adjoining house are over 300 years old the property being a former Gincase We are located in a small hamlet yet close to the local ammenities found in Cockermouth, Carlisle and the Harbour Town of Maryport, ideal for exploring the Solway Firth with views over to Scotland with its beautiful sandy beaches or perfect for visiting the Lakes and Fells.

Low Fold appeals to those who want something a little special. A dog friendly perfect retreat for two, you will relax and unwind in this charming, spacious cottage with its tranquil courtyard garden. Low Fold has been lovingly restored back to glory with luxury furnishings and fittings, with a super king bed. The perfect home from home to return to after exploring this beautiful part of the Lake District and the Solway Coast with miles of dog friendly beaches. Can be booked with the Nook.

Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

Charming, cosy Salkeld Cottage

Salkeld Cottage is in the village of Gilcrux, near Cockermouth and situated between the Solway coast & Lake District park, ideal for walkers & pet owners. There is a local pub withing walking distance. The cottage is part of a barn conversion along with 5 other cottages which accommodate 1 couple each. It features an open fire, four poster bed and steam cubicle. Guests can privately hire the hydro therapy hot tub (Please see other details to note for information on booking the hot tub)

Tawny Cottage, glorious rural retreat.

A perfect retreat for those looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the northern Lakes. Tawny Cottage is one of three fully-equipped and dog-friendly cottages set around a pretty courtyard in stunning natural surroundings. Surrounded by woodland and fell - watch deer and other wildlife from your back door. Away from the crowds but close to everything the Lake District has to offer. Magnificent views from the end of the drive south towards Skiddaw, and the Solway Coast to the north.

The hut is set in the middle of a family farm, forget about your busy lives and sit back and relax in this peaceful location ideal for a romantic retreat, with views up the Lorton valley ,cozy up into front of the wood burning stove and plan your adventure for the next day. The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your door in the morning

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

Laal Cwtch: Dog friendly house; the Lake District

A fab dog-friendly upside down house with amazing views of the lake district fells. A great open plan house for chilling or catching up with friends and family. 3 comfortable bedrooms, two additional sleeping areas (a day bed and a sofa bed). Great for walking and outdoor adventures, and 20 minutes drive from the sea. Easy linked to the beautiful gem town of Cockermouth, cultural Keswick, and bustling Carlisle as we are just off the main A road.

Newcroft Shepherd’s Hut

Beautiful new bespoke Shepherds Hut, situated in an iydillic, peaceful location with views over the Solway Firth & Criffel. The Hut is equipped with everything needed to ensure an amazing, memorable stay in luxurious accommodation with heating, comfy sofa, fire and TV. There is an additional outside seating area, please ask in advance if the BBQ is required. There is Tea, Coffee, Sugar and Milk provided in the Shepherds Hut. Sorry, no children.

The Old Byre

The Old Byre, luxury 5* barn conversion with Gold award. Ideally situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park and The Solway Coast AONB Two bedroom cottage with family bathroom, ideal for couples or families. Oil central heating, fully equipped kitchen, furnished & decorated to a very high standard. Great views of the Lake District fells. Private outdoor Jacuzzi. Safe, secure parking in the courtyard right outside the front door.

Toddell Barn

Toddell Barn forms part of our traditional Lakeland longhouse farm, built in approximately 1710. Toddell Barn sits within approximately 7 acres of agricultural land that helps attract a wide variety of wildlife. Toddell Barn is located in the hamlet of Brandlingill (2 miles south of Cockermouth) and is within the northern boundary of The Lake District National Park, categorised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
