Welcome to our cosy private 1 bedroom house. Only a short walk to the Bar walls, the Shambles and York Minster, this delightful home is ideal for the perfect getaway. Enjoy a stylish lounge, kitchen area, Wifi, TV, bathroom and comfy king size bed. For the perfect stay we also offer your own private courtyard with covered seating area where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or an evening drink before you venture out to York's finest restaurants. The property also offers a free parking space.

The cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion offering a welcoming base for your stay. Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, so very eco friendly. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

Just ten minutes walk from the beautiful historic centre of York and the station, the property is perfectly located for those looking to explore the area. Situated in a quiet residential private road with easy access to York centre via the main bus route at the end of the lane, or via a pleasant walk. Close to local pubs, and a shop. 5 minutes drive from a supermarket and retail park. The cottage is fully refurbished with beautifully presented new kitchen, living room, dining room, downstairs toilet, new bathroom and 2 large bedrooms. No added extra charges.
