Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

We are located just off the A1, with easy access to Newcastle, the Airport, Northumberland Coast and Country, and Scotland. Stannington has a pub and farm shop and is only 5 miles from the market town of Morpeth. The Annexe is spacious and versatile, suitable for wedding guests, business travellers, family staycations, or stopovers whilst travelling north or south.

Stunning beaches and miles of coastline are only 25 min away.The hosts are only to happy to provide advice and information.

A beautiful Gate Lodge situated in a rural location within the grounds of a Georgian Grade II* listed country house built in 1832 at Meldon Park. Fully restored and refurbished featuring a large sitting room, high quality furnishings, wooden beams and a rustic fireplace with log burner. The coast is about 30 minutes away, plenty of National trust buildings and interesting gardens within an hour including Alnwick Castle & gardens (Harry Potter/Downton Abbey film location), Cragside, Wallington etc Well and comfortably furnished. Beautiful rural cottage in the small village of Ulgham just outside Morpeth. This old railway house is situated at the Ulgham Grange Railway crossing within the beautiful Northumberland country side with access to lovely walks straight out the door. We have the pleasure of seeing classic steam engines such as the Royal Scot travelling passed from the comfort of the upstairs bedrooms. Very clean beaches of Cresswell and Druridge bay are easily accessible by car and bicycle.
