A historic building in the heart of Carding Mill Valley, National Trust site. The Old Factory is the oldest building in the valley, in the middle of the Shropshire hills. Hill walks, cycling, star gazing, and wild swimming from your door, then home to the ideal place to relax. This ground floor apartment, with courtyard, is a beautiful stroll into Church Stretton with independent shops, pubs, cafes, and train station. There's also a National Trust cafe two doors away, stocked with treats.

The Garden Room is a private, cosy, off-grid apartment that's perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic kitchen facilities along with a king size bed, a wood burning stove and a piping hot shower. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Lovely up here this time of year and plenty of wildlife to be seen; deer in the garden, swallows zooming about, the other morning I saw two hares leaping and sparring in the front yard - just great.

It is well-equipped with a quality kitchen area, dining area and sitting area with Wi-Fi and Sky TV. The bedroom has a large double bed and plenty of storage space. Longmynd Cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty perfectly situated for those who want great walking opportunities, families who like fresh air or writers and artists who require some solitude in beautiful surroundings. A lovely old country pub with good food and beer is 5 minutes walk away. Birdlife is abundant with Buzzards, Red Kites and a Woodpecker is a frequent visitor to the garden. There is no light pollution so stars are incredible and sometimes the Auroa is too!
