The Monaca cave takes its name from the Monaca seal (monk seal). It's said that the cave was inhabited by the monk seal in the old days. It is a beautiful inlet in between the rocks with unforgettable water. Take care when you reach the spot! Slippery ground!

La Grotta Monaca (Monica), si trova a nord di Otranto, raggiungibile anche a piedi in 20 minuti, percorrendo un viale immerso nella natura. Caletta naturale, il cui nome deriva dalla presenza in antichità della "foca monaca" segno di acqua limpida e pulita.
