Fantastic Brunch! This place fills up quickly on Sundays. Try their biscuits and gravy! Wander around the Cotton Exchange and down to the Riverwalk afterwards for excellent views of the Battleship and the Cape Fear River.

“Located off an alley in the heart of downtown, The Blind Elephant is a "private club" which costs $1 to join! It's intended to be a speakeasy, so with no windows it's probably best visited on a cold, inclement evening. The average age of clientele seems to be 35-40+. (I'm a bad judge of age!)”

“Circa has been consistently serving great food in a Historic setting for years. It's another great place to go have a cocktail and share a small plate. I'm not positive, but I think it has recently been sold, so hopefully the food quality stays the same. ”

“I would say this is one of the finer dining options in town. Go on Sunday to the bar from 5:30-6:30 PM for the Beggars Can't Be Choosers small plates for $9 each (our favorite was the meat option) and Dealer's Choice cocktails for $8. So fun and creative! ”

“Disclaimer: I'm not a beer drinker! Another very popular spot, with indoor and outdoor areas. Located almost under the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, so it's away from the downtown bar scene. They occasionally have live music but honestly, the acoustics ain't great inside. The wine is terrible, so I usually drink a White Claw Seltzer. They typically have a food truck so check their FB page for music and food.”
