Maxine's in historic downtown Bastrop has been voted Bastrop's best for many many years. Down home southern cooking - great breakfast - super duper huge pancake varieties, delicious pies, chicken fried steak and interesting southern dishes you've probably never heard of and must try!

Main Street Bastrop favorite. Sometimes has long lines, but worth a stop. Large country breakfasts

Maxine's has a fantastic menu. I love everything! Must trys are the platter sized pancakes! Don't forget the pecan praline topping. Yummy! They also have down home classics like fried green tomatoes, pot roast, chicken and dumplings and more!
